I am Heidi, a person-centred counsellor with over ten years experience in helping clients express, process and integrate difficult feelings and experiences. I have assisted many people get back on track, find a new direction or lead a more connected and fulfilling existence. Therapy works by helping you get to know yourself and about how and who you are in the world. I tailor the way I work with you so that it is bespoke to your needs and goals.

During my time as a counsellor I have worked privately and for various charities and organisations including schools, colleges, charities and generic counselling agencies. I work with adults on a variety of issues and with children under 12 years old using child-led play-based therapy. I also have experience of working with young people.

I can help you deal more effectively with difficulties by facilitating your ability to tap into your inner-resources and find your own direction. I will offer connection when you feel disconnected and will never pressure you to talk about anything you don’t want to or feel ready to explore. The therapy I offer has the potential to work and heal at a deep, core level, caring for and alleviating distress at its source. It is ultimately up to you though as to which direction you want your therapy to take and as a person-centred practitioner, I will always be guided by you. Together we can uncover what is getting in your way of a more meaningful life. I am happy to be creative in helping you communicate your story or your difficulties by using art, clay, sand tray therapy, etc. I find that these mediums can be very powerful in helping the healing process.

I work in a compassionate and non-pathologising way, providing a safe non-judgemental space and relationship for you to be however you need to. Ultimately I aim to offer you hope during difficult times and healing when they are over.

I offer face-to-face sessions at my room in Thornliebank, just 15 minutes drive from Glasgow city centre, online or telephone sessions.
