Have you found yourself battling with some difficult or confusing feelings? Maybe a relationship is causing you concern but you don’t know how to make things different or better. Perhaps feelings of anxiety are interfering with day to day life.  Family and friends can be a great support, but sometimes the people in our lives think they know what we should do, offer solutions from their perspective, or judge us for the decisions we make or feelings we might have.  This is where it can really help to speak with a counsellor.

I have over 20 years of experience working therapeutically and in-depth with people from a wide range of age groups, backgrounds, beliefs and circumstances.  I am a qualified person centred therapist and I aim to treat everyone with warmth, empathy and compassion. I believe the relationship we build is key to facilitating healing and growth.  While my background is person centred I will also use a psychoeducational approach when appropropriate.  I have undertaken training in Emotion Focused Therapy and will adopt this approach when useful.

Together we will explore what is troubling you at a pace that’s right for you. I hope you will quickly find that you can feel safe and accepted.  I have undertaken counselling myself and understand that this can bring about feelings of vulnerability and anxiety.  I also know how supportive and healing counselling can be.
