Ingrid Campbell

Msc Counselling, MBACP, BA Hons Art

Hi, I'm Ingrid, a counsellor based in the north of Glasgow.

I try to work in a way that feels right for you, taking into account how you prefer to work and calling on a range of tried and tested therapeutic practices I have learned over the years.

Life can be difficult and as a fellow human being, I know how hard it is to be a person, sometimes we are our own worst critics or have been given challenges that seem too much to handle alone. Overcoming some of my own life challenges has given me the experience, passion and desire to support others to move past whatever holds them back from living the life they want.

I work therapeutically with adults, students and young people to support problematic anxiety, depression, lack of motivation, relationship, health or grief issues. These are many of the issues that come up with my clients but I am happy to work with whatever it is that you need support with.

Often life gives us more than one problem to work through at a time...

The most important element of my counselling is to give you a warm and safe relationship to help you work through whatever it is in life that is hard for you, causes you distress and that you wish to change.

After working in the voluntary sector for over 20 years in various support roles,  I trained as a counsellor undertaking a Masters in Counselling from Abertay University over a number of years and gaining a distinction.

I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethics and principles

In recent years I have worked with Adults, Students and Young People in private practice, in secondary schools and as part of a counselling organisation. I currently work 2 days a week providing grief counselling for a bereavement support network and hospice as well as 2 days a week in private practice.

I undertake regular CPD to improve my practice and knowledge base

I also have a BA Hons in Art and Design, attending Art School as my first training.
